Community CCTV monitoring

Someone at your gate at 3 am? The control room sees it in seconds.

SentriqMesh turns the cameras at your home into an early warning. It spots people in the zones you choose and puts the alert, with snapshot, clip and live view, in front of your security company's control room within seconds. If you like, a Google speaker inside your home can announce it too, and that keeps working even when the internet is down.

  • Nothing lost when the internet drops
  • Video leaves your home only when someone watches it

How it works

From movement at the gate to a guard on the way

A small computer at your home watches your cameras around the clock. It only raises an alert for what you asked for: a person in your chosen zones, at the times you chose.

Detect

The edge node at your home runs proven AI object detection on your existing IP cameras. It ignores cars, cats and trees blowing in the wind, and only reacts to a person in the zones you picked, for example the pavement outside your wall, from midnight until sunrise.

Hear it inside (optional)

If you choose, a Google or Nest speaker in your house announces it at once: "Person detected at the front gate", in English, Afrikaans or another language. It needs no internet, so it works even during an outage.

Alert

The snapshot reaches your security company's control room within seconds, with a sound and on a map. Your phone gets a notification too. The control room can play the clip or, if you allow it, watch live while the person is still there.

Respond

An operator acknowledges it and records what was done: patrol sent, police called, false alarm. If nobody responds within minutes, it is escalated, and you're told. Was it you? Tap "It's me" and the control room stands down.

Who it's for

One system, three sides of the same street

Homeowners

Know about it before they're over the wall

Most incidents we see happen between 3 and 5 in the morning. SentriqMesh watches the outside of your property while you sleep, and lets the people who can respond know straight away.

  • Choose when and where to be alerted: per camera and zone, by clock time or sunrise and sunset
  • Away mode: extra zones while you're on holiday
  • Optionally hear it inside: your Google / Nest speaker announces where someone was seen
  • Notifications on your phone, with the snapshot
  • Invite your family to the household, each with their own sign-in
  • Live view only for the cameras you allow, only during an alert, and you see who watched
  • Keep some alerts to yourself: you decide what the control room sees
Security companies

A live control room for every client's cameras

Your operators see real people at real gates, not alarm codes. Every alert arrives with a picture, a clip and, where the client allows it, a live picture.

  • Live Security Control Room: alerts grouped into incidents, with sound and a map
  • Acknowledge with an outcome; unanswered alerts escalate automatically
  • Managers are warned when nobody has the control room open
  • Response reports: time to acknowledge, outcomes, figures per operator
  • Company managers add and manage their own staff, with two-factor sign-in
  • Optional AI flags a possible weapon so that card is looked at first
Communities & estates

A neighbourhood that watches out together

Neighbourhood watches, estates and complexes connect many homes to one control room, so one person loitering on the street is noticed by the whole street.

  • Every home on one live map: online, offline, or alerting
  • Each home owns its cameras and settings; nothing is shared without consent
  • Light on data: only alerts and snapshots travel; a clip is fetched only when someone plays it
  • You're told when a camera or a home's system goes offline
  • Homes without a security company can still be seen by participating control rooms

Built for real conditions

Internet down? Power flickered? It still has your back.

SentriqMesh was designed for areas where the internet isn't always there. Everything that has to happen fast happens at your home.

Your home hears it first

Detection and the optional announcement on your speaker run on the node at your home, so they keep working through internet outages.

Nothing gets lost

Alerts raised while offline are stored on the node and delivered, in the right order, the moment the connection is back.

Stay connected with a backup line

Add a backup mobile (LTE) connection, and alerts keep reaching the control room even when your main internet is down.

Problems are reported, not discovered

A camera without picture or a node that stops reporting is flagged to you and the control room within minutes.

Light on data

Only alerts and a snapshot travel. Recordings stay on the node at your home; a clip is fetched only when someone presses play, and that copy is deleted from the server after 14 days.

Optional AI second look

The card that needs attention first, flashes red

An AI vision model takes a second look at every snapshot and describes it in one line: how many people, a covered face, something that may be a weapon. A possible weapon makes that card flash red in the control room, so it is seen first.

It only ever adds urgency. It never hides or dismisses an alert, and it runs on hardware you control, so snapshots aren't sent to an outside AI service.

⚠ Possible weapon: check the picture

Operators can mark the AI as wrong. The accuracy figures show how much to trust it.

Privacy & evidence

Private by design. Evidence you can stand behind.

Video leaves your home only when it's watched

Recordings live on the node at your property. When an alert's clip is played, a copy is kept on the server for 14 days so it plays quickly, then deleted, unless the incident is placed on legal hold as evidence. Live view needs your consent per camera, works only during an alert, is never stored, and every view is logged for you to see.

POPIA built in

Download everything held about you, or have it erased. Clear retention periods, two-factor sign-in, and access limited to your own security company.

Legal hold for evidence

One button keeps an incident's snapshots, video clips and full history, each sealed with a SHA-256 fingerprint, so any later change would show. Ready to hand to the police or your insurer.

A tamper-evident audit trail

Every sign-in, change and look at footage is recorded in a chain that shows if anything was altered or removed.

What's at the home

Uses the cameras you already have

An installer sets up a small node next to your camera system and pairs it with your account. You then choose your zones, times and security company yourself, from your phone.

IP cameras

Most IP cameras with an RTSP stream work, including the ones you may already have.

Edge node

A Raspberry Pi 5 with an AI accelerator and an SSD, or a small PC. It detects, records and sends the alerts.

OptionalGoogle / Nest speaker

Inside the house, so you hear the moment someone is detected outside.

Any internet

Fibre, LTE or wireless. It copes with interruptions; a small UPS keeps it going through power cuts.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does it work during load-shedding or when the internet is down?

Detection, recording and the optional Google speaker announcement all run at your home and need no internet. The control room does need a connection. With a backup mobile connection (LTE), alerts keep reaching it during an outage. Without one, alerts are kept on the node and delivered, with their original time, as soon as the internet is back. The node and cameras need power, so a small UPS is recommended.

Do I need new cameras?

Usually not. Most IP cameras with an RTSP video stream can be used. Your installer will check your cameras when setting up the node.

Where is my video stored, and who can see it?

Recordings stay on the node at your home for about two weeks. Each alert sends a snapshot to the system. When someone plays an alert's clip, that clip is copied to the system and kept for 14 days (longer only if the incident is placed on legal hold as evidence). You, the household members you invite, and your security company's control room can see your alerts. Live view works only for cameras you allowed, only during an alert, and you can see who watched.

Will I get alerts every time a car drives past?

No. You choose which objects (usually people), which zones and which times raise an alert. A burst of movement becomes one incident with one notification, not dozens.

What if I don't have a security company?

You still get every alert on your phone. You can choose "none" as your security company; participating control rooms can then see your alerts, and you can choose a company later.

Does it replace my alarm system?

It complements it. An alarm reacts once someone is inside; SentriqMesh alerts you and the control room while they're still outside your wall, so there's time to respond.

What does it cost?

That depends on the number of cameras and the service you need. Send us an enquiry and we'll come back to you with a proposal.
